The Genesis G80 (Korean: 제네시스 G80) is a four-door, five passenger, Executive sedan manufactured by Hyundai's luxury brand Genesis, successor of Hyundai Genesis.

Changes to Hyundai Genesis included new bumpers, new internals for the headlights and a revised grille.

The vehicle was unveiled in 2016 North American International Auto Show, followed by 2016 Busan Auto Show.

Korean models went on sale in July 2016. Early models included 3.3, 3.3 HTRAC, 3.8.

US models went on sale in September 2016 as 2017 model year vehicle. Early models include 3.8, 3.8 HTRAC, 5.0.

The Genesis G80 was launched to the Russian market in 2017 with a 2.0-litre Theta turbocharged engine producing 245 hp (180 kW), eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

G80 Sport (2017-present)[]

It is a version of Genesis G80 with twin-turbo 3.3-litre V6 engine from Genesis G90, sportier bumpers, a quad-exhaust tips, a mesh grille.

The vehicle was unveiled in 2016 Busan Motor Show, followed by 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show., 2017 North American International Auto Show.

US models went on sale as 2018 model year vehicles.

Genesis G80 was manufactured in Ulsan, Korea.

In August 2016, 1,497 units of G80 sedan were sold by Hyundai Motor America.

As of 2017-02-01, 1,350 units of G80 sedan were sold by Hyundai Motor America.

Marketing[]

During 2017 NFL Pro Bowl, Genesis G80 sedans were awarded to Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players.
