The Mitsuoka Himiko is a roadster built by Mitsuoka, and sold in the UK as the Mitsuoka Roadster.

The Himiko is based on the Mazda MX-5 NC, with a design inspired by classic English roadsters such as the Jaguar XK120 and particularly the Morgan Aero 8. Transmission and roof options are similar to the MX-5 with the option of either a 6 speed automatic transmission with manual shifting or a 6 speed manual transmission. Each Himiko is handmade at the Mitsuoka factory in Toyama City, Japan.

Recent Changes[]

  • In 2011, Mitsuoka created a soft-top version of the Himiko, called the Himiko Classic Edition. Limited to just 20 examples, prices start from ¥4,880,000 (about US$56,500 or €43,400) in Japan. Red leather and wood liven up the interior while the MX-5's 2.0-liter inline-4 produces 170 hp with the 5-speed Manual or 162 hp with the 6-speed Automatic.
