The Marussia B2 was a mid-engined sports car produced by the now defunct Russian automotive manufacturer Marussia Motors. The successor to the B1, the B2 is fundamentally identical to its predecessor, but with a new, edgier design. The company claimed that all 500 units were ordered, but only 12 or 14 were produced before the company went bankrupt in 2014.

Engine and Transmission[]
The Marussia B2 was offered with a choice of two engines, both in mid-engine configuration. The first one is a 2.8 liter V6 turbo developed in cooperation with Cosworth that develops either 360 or 420 HP and a peak torque of 383 lbs-ft and 442 lbs-ft respectively. With a total weight of 2425 lbs, the 420 HP version could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and continue onto a top speed nearing 190mph. The second engine is a naturally aspirated 3.5 liter V6 with an output of 300 HP combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system. The B2 is also equipped with adjustable suspension (developed in partnership with German brand KW), hugely powerful brakes, ultra-light alloy wheels, and high-performance tires.

The energy-absorbing cockpit is a three part space frame of steel tubes of different sections. The front and rear subframes are attached to a central cell. In an impact, the subframes are designed to absorb energy by deforming. The B1 and В2 vehicles have passed Russian safety tests and obtained their certification.

The B2 is the B1's successor, first shown to the public at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The differences between the B1 and the B2 are only cosmetic; the B2 offers a new, edgier design and a new, almost space-age interior. The design was meant to give the car a more aggressive look. Some design features include highlighting the grille and intakes in black to contrast them to the car's body colour and emphasize some of the car's geometric elements, as well as styling the car's face to the shape of the "M" in the Marussia Motors logo. The car used mostly parts from the cheapest European cars, small and ultra-small, except the engine from Opel. The company hoped to get a good power from it, as follows: Engine power is 420 hp (313 kW), top speed is 310 km/h (193 mph) and acceleration from 0–100 km/h is in 3.8 seconds.
Interior[]
The Marussia B2 was built by Valmet - the same firm that produces the Fisker Karma. Compared to the previous B1, the B2 will be distinguished by satin black paintwork on the intakes and geometric elements to the grille and headlamp apertures. It will also feature deeply recessed intakes ahead of the rear wheels. All of these elements are were placed on the B2 to give it the appearance of an insect. The interior of the car is also unique and features all the equipment and multimedia systems that set a Marussia apart from all other supercars. The best part is that Marussia is offering their customers the possibility to customize their supercar in any way they wish.

In March 2012, Finnish contract manufacturer of specialty automobiles, Valmet Automotive, and Marussia Motors entered into an agreement on production of Marussia B2 sports cars at the Valmet car factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland. 500 units were built and until 2012 all has been "ordered" according to the company information, but 12 to 14 units were really sold before the company bankruptcy in 2014.
