Elio Zagato (1921 - September 15, 2009) was an italian automobile designer.[1]

He joined his father Ugo Zagatos designer firm Zagato and took over management upon his passing in 1968. Among his works were Fiat 8V Zagato, Alfa Romeo 1900 SSZ, Ferrari 250 GTZ, Maserati A6 and Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. Also, he raced cars and was one of the founders of Scuderia Ambrosiana of Milano. Races he won include the Targa Florio and five GT series, as well as Coppa Inter-Europa, Golden Cup of Dolomites and the Berlin Avus Cup in 1955. He was nicknamed "Zagatino" by Enzo Ferrari.

Andrea and Marello Zagato took over the company after his passing at the age of 88.
