The Celica rally car was in its second series and the 1992 title winning Toyota Team Europe is ready to start the 1993 World Rally Championship at Monte Carlo. The Celica's 2 litre 4 cylinder DOHC turbocharged engine produces 299 HP and 45.9kg/m of torque channeled through a six speed manual gearbox and through all wheels. It also features an electronically controlled torque splitter and distributes 50:50 of the torque to both the front and rear wheels respectively. It can shift to different ratios when different road surfaces are detected. With the performance and the technology, the Celica out-performed its rivals such as Lancia, Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi and is also the most technically advanced car in the championship. It won the 1993 Monte Carlo Rally.
