Scion xD is a subcompact car manufactured by the Japanese-American Toyota subsidiary, Scion. The xD is based on the Toyota iSt, just like its predecessor, the Scion xA. It also has a European market-only sister called Toyota Urban Cruiser, badged and manufactured by Scion's parent company Toyota. The xD went on sale during the 2008 MY while the Urban Cruiser went on sale the following model year after debuting at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show.

Unique Attributes[]

The speedometer and tachometer share the same dial. Also, there is quite a bit of standard equipment for a subcompact, such as side curtain airbags, an advanced ABS system, active head restraints, a high-watt Pioneer stereo (shared with other Scions), and an iPod adapter. The xD also offers electronic stability control, which is a rarity in this class.

Interior[]

This section should include information on the interior's design, build quality, ergonomics, space (head and legroom, front and rear), features, stowage compartments and overall comfortability and livability. Add pictures wherever applicable and keep information in a third-person point of view.

Resale Values[]

Since the xD is introduced for 2008, there are no resale values. But Toyota's resale values are usually high.

Criticisms[]

The driving position is a bit awkward and the ride is buzzy, but a major improvement over the xA.
