The Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid is a concept car introduced by Lotus at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Ostensibly an Evora, the car previews Lotus' intentions in producing a hybrid sports car. The car will be powered by a pair of rear-mounted electric motors and a 1.2 litre Petrol Inline-3. The system, similar to the Chevrolet Volt and the Fisker Karma utilizes the twin electric powerplants as its source of motivation, with the 47 hp internal combustion engine only coming to life to recharge the 17 kilowatt-hour lithium polymer batteries once they run low on juice. Output is rated at 408 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque available instantly at no revs at all. All in all, the car will have a 35 mile all-electric range and a 300 mile range running the gas engine.
