A Dual-fuel system uses more than one fuel source with this technology. The system, normally for cars running on liquified petroleum gas can switch to petrol in situations when cars don't run good (for example, the engine is too cold). The dual-fuel system offers better advantages over a dedicated gas system. These include

  • A car can run on petrol first until the engine is warm enough to run effectively on LPG
  • Because of the scarcity of LPG filling stations in some areas, a car fitted with the dual-fuel system doesn't have to rely on LPG as much
  • The dual-fuel system also adds the car's total range. In some instances, if a car runs out of gas, the car can be switched to petrol and vise versa.
