The Bentley Azure is a large, four-seater luxury convertible from Bentley Motors Limited. It is based on the Arnage Drophead Coupe prototype. The new Azure uses a 6.75 L twin-turbo V8 which produces 450 hp (335 kW) and 645 ft·lbf (874 N·m).450bhp (336kW) and a top speed of 168mph (270km/h) The Bentley Azure is set to be priced at $320,000.00.

Recent ChangesEdit

  • To mark the end of the Arnage line (which includes both the Azure and the Brooklands), Bentley debut the Bentley Azure T at the 2009 LA Auto Show. Like all of the T-badged Bentleys, the range-topping Azure is equipped with the 500 hp (737 lb-ft) variant of the venerable 6.75 litre V8 which is mated to a 6-speed Auto and capable of hurtling this 5700 lb behemoth from naught to 60 in 5.2 secs onto a top speed of 179 mph. The real cause for celebration, however, is the gaggle of kit and trim that is part and parcel of the T. Unfortunately, it will also be the source of much sorrow, since a regular Azure already cost a king's ransom you can only imagine the size of the hole it will make on your wallet. [1]

ReliabilityEdit

  • RECALL ALERT: On August 2007, Bentley issued a recall for 550 Arnage and Azure models produced between February 2005 and August 2006 as they may have been fitted with the wrong wheel bolts which could cause the bolt and the wheel to come loose. Though none have actually done so, instances of rattling heard from the wheels have been reported by customers. Bentley states that this was due to a batch of wheel bolts supplied to them which were of the incorrect specification.[2]
